Splitting multiple bookings by effort

Booking splitting of multi-selected bookings by effort is only supported when bookings belong to the same resource AND the bookings are of equal effort. If either of these conditions are not met, the splitting button does not appear when multiple bookings are selected (described at the end of this procedure).

Splitting of multi-selected bookings is only possible in this mode (by effort) and is not possible by duration.

To split multiple bookings by effort:

1. Select the bookings to be split by effort. The split booking button is displayed in the Gantt sidebar:

2. Click the Split Booking button to show both splitting modes and click to select Effort:

3. To edit the distribution of hours between the original and new bookings, use the sliders and/or the Booking effort and proportion fields. Note that the single action you take applies to all bookings, i.e. if you make the original booking a proportion of 60%, this is applied to ALL the selected original bookings:

4. When the booking effort has been distributed as required, you must click Confirm to save the new bookings onto the Gantt with their associated effort split.

5. At this point you should then carry out your final action to assign or reassign the booking splits and then click Save:
